Youth electrocuted during Ganesh pandal setup in Hyderabad, succumbs to injuries
A youth identified as Ram Charan died after being electrocuted while helping set up a Ganesh pandal in Amberpet, Hyderabad. He received a shock while lifting electric wires with a stick and later succumbed to injuries in hospital
Hyderabad: A youth who was seriously injured after being electrocuted while setting up a Ganesh pandal in Amberpet on Monday, died during treatment in hospital on Tuesday.
As per available information, some local youths of Bagh Amberpet division install Ganesh idols every year. As part of this, they were setting up the pandal together when the incident occurred around midnight on Monday.
At that time, the youth, identified as Ram Charan, lifted the electric wires above with a stick. He suffered an electric shock and fell from a height of about 15 feet. He sustained grievous multiple injuries.
He was immediately taken to a private hospital in Amberpet, where he died while undergoing treatment.
The Amberpet police are investigating.
