Mulugu: In a tragic incident, an 11-year-old boy died after consuming pesticide by mistake, which was filled in a soft drink bottle by his parents at his house at Guboru village of Marikapla Gram Panchayat of Venkatapuram (Nugur) mandal in the district on Wednesday. The deceased was identified as Punem Suresh, son Of Punem Srinivas and Kamala.

Though the boy was shifted to Venkatapuram CHC after he vomited and complained of severe pain, he was declared as brought dead. He was studying in Class V at Sudibaka Primary School. The headmaster of the school declared a holiday for school on Wednesday following the tragic death of the student. Villagers found fault with the parents for storing the pesticide in a soft drink bottle.
