12 persons stranded in floods in Medak; NDRF personnel reach district
Twelve persons were stranded in flood-hit areas of Medak district on Wednesday, with four of them climbing a tree to escape rising waters. While the Siddipet administration sought helicopter support, NDRF teams arrived to carry out rescue operations amid challenging weather conditions.

Medak: At least 12 persons were stranded in floodwaters at two locations in Medak district on Wednesday.
Eight persons travelling in an auto were trapped at Rajipet Thanda in Havelighanpur mandal. In another incident, four persons abandoned their car and climbed a tree to escape the rising waters at Nagapur in the same mandal.
Officials of Siddipet district administration sought a helicopter from Chief Secretary Ramakrishna Rao to rescue those trapped. The Chief Secretary reportedly assured that a chopper would be sent once weather conditions permitted.
Meanwhile, personnel from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) arrived in the district on Wednesday afternoon to launch rescue operations.
