Nizamabad: Twelve trainee IAS officers met Nizamabad Collector Narayana Reddy at the collectorate here on Monday.
The team of trainee IAS officers will undergo training for one week in the district. Briefing trainee officers, Collector Narayana Reddy said Nizamabad district was mainly an agriculture-based district and cultivating paddy, soya bean and turmeric crops. He said, in turmeric cultivation Nizamabad district stood third place in the country.
The Collector said that in the agriculture sector, Nizamabad district stood at first place in various crops cultivation and farmers have been obtaining good yields in different crops.
The Collector said that the government welfare schemes like Haritha Haram, Palle Prakruthi Vanam, and other schemes, were being implemented successfully with the cooperation of the people. Later, Narayana Reddy interacted with the trainee officers.
