RAJANNA-SIRCILLA: A 12 year-old boy, Balu drowned in a village tank near Ankushapur of Thangallapally mandal on Saturday.
Balu along with four other friends went to nearby Sandravagu tank to take a bath on Saturday morning. While all the children were having a bath, Balu drowned in the waters as he did not know how to swim. As they could not locate him the waters, other children ran to the village and alerted their parents. The villagers to the tank and fished out the body. Balu was studying in Class VIII at a local school.
The Thangallapally police visited the spot and began investigation by registering the case.
