12-year-old Kuchipudi dancer performs along 3-km Giri Pradakshana at Yadadri Temple

Hyderabad: In a remarkable fusion of art, culture, and spirituality, 12-year-old Hyderabad-based Kuchipudi dancer P Sri Vaishno Devi presented a first-of-its-kind Kuchipudi dance performance during the sacred Giri Pradakshana at the Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Devasthanam on the auspicious occasion of Swati Nakshatram.
Swati Nakshatram is considered a highly sacred day dedicated to the worship of Lord Lakshmi Narasimha. Thousands of devotees visit the temple on this occasion to perform Giri Pradakshana, offer prayers, and seek divine blessings for peace, prosperity, and protection.
In a rare cultural and spiritual initiative, Vaishno Devi performed Kuchipudi dance continuously throughout the entire 3-km Giri Pradakshana path, captivating devotees who were walking around the sacred hill. Vaishno Devi’s 86-year-old great-grandmother also participated in the Giri Pradakshana along with the family.
The Kuchipudi presentation was organised by Jyothi Kalakshetram School of Arts, where Vaishno Devi has been learning classical dance under the guidance of her guru, Jyothi Reddy.
