Hyderabad: The Rajendranagar Police raided a house at Shivrampally and caught two persons who were illegally storing rice meant to be dispensed under Public Distribution Scheme (PDS). Acting on a tipoff, the police raided the house where Mohd Feroz and Fareed had stored PDS rice after sourcing it from card holders.
The rice was to be sold to some persons who would later smuggle it to other States, said K Kanakaiah, SHO (Rajendranagar). The police seized around 15 quintals of rice and booked a case against the duo.
