28-day residential GEM workshop wraps up at NTPC Ramagundam
NTPC Ramagundam concludes Girl Empowerment Mission-2025, trains 120 government schoolgirls in academics and life skills. Programme features expert sessions, cultural performances, a music video, aiming to build confidence, awareness, and future readiness in participants

Peddapalli: A 28-day residential workshop, Girl Empowerment Mission-2025 (GEM), concluded at NTPC Ramagundam on Wednesday.
Organised by the National Thermal Power Corporation (Ramagundam), the initiative aimed to inspire and empower young girls from nearby government schools.
A total of 120 girls received training in academic subjects including English, Hindi, Mathematics, Science, and Computer Literacy. The workshop also emphasised life skills such as dance, karate, yoga, and health awareness.
Expert-led sessions addressed key issues such as menstrual hygiene, nutrition, personal safety, time management, and career planning.
Peddapalli Collector Koya Sree Harsha, who attended the concluding session as chief guest, praised NTPC’s commendable initiative and acknowledged the organisation’s consistent efforts toward the holistic development of society through impactful programmes.
To mark the occasion, a specially curated music video was launched, showcasing the range of activities conducted during the workshop and highlighting the programme’s role in instilling confidence, vision, and purpose in the participants.
The event also featured a vibrant cultural programme, with GEM participants presenting energetic dance performances, karate demonstrations, yoga displays, speeches, and a skit on the theme Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao. Certificates were distributed to all participants.
