Mancherial A 35-year-old daily-wage earner was allegedly murdered by his mother at Prashanthnagar colony in Naspur mandal centre on Saturday night.
Naspur Inspector Akula Ashok said that Boyini Srinivas died on the spot after his mother, Shankaramma, bludgeoned him with a grinding rock for harassing her and his mentally unsound sister due to his addiction to liquor at around 11 pm. The three were living together in a house for quite a long time.
Muppu Venkatalaxmi, another daughter of Shankaramma, lodged a complaint with the police. A murder case was registered against Shankaramma. Investigations were taken up.
