3rd Buddha Dhamma Yatra enters Telangana, to conclude at Buddhavanam
The 3rd Buddha Dhamma Yatra, which began in Kalaburagi, Karnataka, on February 2, formally entered Telangana at Madhigi village in Sangareddy district. The yatra will culminate at Buddhavanam, Nagarjuna Sagar on March 1.

Hyderabad: The 3rd Buddha Dhamma Yatra, which began from Kalaburagi in Karnataka on February 2, reached Madhigi village on Tuesday, marking its formal entry into Telangana.
The padayatra is being undertaken by hundreds of Buddhist monks and devotees aiming to spread Lord Buddha’s teachings of peace, compassion, and non-violence.
After entering Telangana, the yatra will pass through Buchchinelli, Ekkeli, Lingampalli, Sadasivapet, Sangareddy, Isnapur, BHEL and Kukatpally, spreading messages of compassion, equality, and non-violence.
The monks will also visit the Buddha statue at Hussain Sagar before reaching Mahabodhi Buddha Vihara at Mahindra Hills in Secunderabad on February 18. After staying for a day, the march will then continue through Uppal, Turkayamjal, Ibrahimpatnam, Yacharam, Mall, Chintapalli, Kondamallepalli, Angadipet and Peddavura, culminating at Buddhavanam, Nagarjuna Sagar on March 1.
The monks will finally visit the Nagarjunakonda Museum on March 2 and offer special prayers at Buddhavanam on March 3, seeking peace and well-being for the world, said a press release.
Buddhavanam Project Special Officer Mallepalli Laxmaiah welcomed the march into Telangana. Gagan Malik, prominent actor and Buddhist activist, along with social activists PSN Murthy, Siddoji Rao, KK Raja and Buddhavanam Manager Shyamsunder joined the padayatra at Madhigi village.
