593 new cases, 3 deaths registered in Telangana

A total of 1058 persons recovered on Sunday taking the cumulative Covid-19 recoveries in the State to 2, 58, 336 with a recovery rate of 95.74 per cent

Hyderabad: Telangana recorded 593 new Covid-19 infections and three fatalities on Sunday taking the overall toll to 1,458 and the cumulative number of positive cases so far to 2,69,816. As on Sunday, there were 10,022 active Covid-19 cases in the State.

A total of 1058 persons recovered on Sunday taking the cumulative Covid-19 recoveries in the State to 2, 58, 336 with a recovery rate of 95.74 per cent, while the countrywide recovery rate is 93.8 per cent.

Between Saturday and Sunday, 33, 040 Covid tests were conducted in the State while reports of another 364 samples were awaited. So far, a total of 54,53, 461 Covid-19 tests have been conducted in the State out of which 2,69,816 have tested positive and 2,58,336 persons have recovered.

The Covid-19 positive cases reported from the districts include five from Adilabad, 12 from Bhadradri, 119 from areas under GHMC, 16 from Jagtiyal, three from Jangaon, two from Bhupalpally, nine from Gadwal, 13 from Kamareddy, 40 from Karimnagar, 21 from Khammam, six from Mahabubnagar, 15 each from Mahabubabad and Mancherial, five from Medak, 55 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 12 from Mulugu, nine from Nagarkurnool, 21 from Nalgonda, one each from Narayanpet and Nirmal, 18 from Nizamabad, five from Pedapalli, 17 from Siricilla, 61 from Rangareddy, 33 from Sangareddy, four from Siddipet, 16 from Suryapet, one each from Vikarabad and Wanaparthy, 18 from Warangal Rural and 39 from Warangal Urban.
