993 new infections, four deaths registered in Telangana

Hyderabad: Telangana has recorded 993 new Covid-19 infections and four fatalities on Tuesday taking the overall toll to 1,441 and the cumulative number of positive cases so far to 2,66,042. As on Tuesday, there were 10,886 active Covid-19 cases in the State.
A total of 1,150 persons recovered on Tuesday taking the cumulative Covid-19 recoveries in the State to 2,53,715 with a recovery rate of 95.36 per cent, while the countrywide recovery rate is 93.7 per cent.
Between Monday and Tuesday, 47,593 Covid tests were conducted in the State and reports of another 695 samples are awaited. So far, a total of 52,48,807 Covid-19 tests have been conducted in the State out of which 2,66,042 have tested positive and 2,53,715 persons have recovered.
The Covid-19 positive cases reported from the districts included two from Adilabad, 67 from Bhadradri, 161 from areas under GHMC, 39 from Jagtiyal, eight from Jangaon, 12 from Bhupalpally, five from Gadwal, 23 from Kamareddy, 46 from Karimnagar, 57 from Khammam, two from Asifabad, 15 from Mahabubnagar, 31 from Mahabubabad, 28 from Mancherial, 27 from Medak, 93 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 25 from Mulugu, 14 from Nagarkurnool, 45 from Nalgonda, eight from Nirmal, 20 from Nizamabad, 21 from Pedapalli, 25 from Siricilla, 62 from Rangareddy, 34 from Sangareddy, 17 from Siddipet, 21 from Suryapet, 10 from Vikarabad, nine from Wanaparthy, 13 from Warangal Rural, 39 from Warangal Urban and 14 from Bhongir.
