ACB officials nabs Sub-inspector of police while accepting Rs 20k bribe
The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested a sub-inspector in Sangareddy for allegedly accepting a Rs 20,000 bribe to remove a complainant’s name from a case related to the illegal transportation of PDS rice.

Sangareddy: Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths nabbed a Sub-inspector of Police M Ramesh while he was allegedly accepting Rs 20,000 bribe from a complainant at Kollur police station on Friday.
He had demanded a Rs 30,000 bribe from a complainant for deleting his name from illegal transportation of PDS rice. Initially, the ACB officials said that the sub inspector accepted a Rs 5,000 bribe.
While the complainant was paying the Rs 20,000, he said they had laid a trap and apprehended him at his SI’s chambers and recovered the tainted cash. The accused will be produced before the Additional Special Judge for SPE and Cases in Nampally.
