Hyderabad: Mir Arshad Ali, Sub-Registrar of Rajendranagar, was trapped at his office by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Thursday when he allegedly demanded and accepted a bribe of Rs 5 lakh from a complainant K Aravind Mahesh Kumar of Langer Houz through a document writer Vasu to do an official favour, ACB officials said.
The bribe was allegedly demanded for cancellation of Development Agreement (DAGPA) pertaining to the land of the complainant’s aunt. Vasu also demanded and accepted Rs 50,000 for himself.
