Speaking on the occasion, Sikta assured to review performance of the officials of the medical and revenue department and to take action against the officials concerned if found showing negligence in discharging duties. She promised to create a road facility to the remote village by preparing estimates.
The IAS officer said that an old road would be repaired for the convenience of the residents. She stated that steps would be taken to prevent recurrence of similar incidents in the future. She and Bhavesh managed to reach the village by crossing a rivulet flowing at knee-deep level. They found out as to what could be done for improving medical services to the habitation.
Bhavesh assured that steps were going to be taken to better medical services to tribal women and the services would be tracked. He opined that the deaths of pregnant women were caused due to lack of awareness over the facilities extended by the government and precautions. He stated that awareness would be raised among the tribals by conducting programmes in local languages.
District Medical and Health Officer Dr Narender Rathod, the member of Women Commission Kumra Eshwari Bai, ITDA Utnoor Assistant Project Officer Ramana and many other officials were present.
