Kumram Bheem Asifabad: Adilabad Member of Parliament (MP) Soyam Bapu Rao said that the countryside was undergoing transformation with the help of Make in India, an initiative of the union government. He toured different villages in Sirpur (T) on Tuesday.
Addressing a gathering in Dabba village in Chintalamanepalli mandal, Bapu Rao stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi embarked on a mammoth task of developing rural parts of the country. He said that 25 villages were identified in erstwhile Adilabad district under Make in India scheme. He added that he visited the village which was part of the habitations for the first time.
The parliamentarian internal roads would be formed in a village, besides installing solar lamps and creating drainage systems, water plants, computers, toilets, libraries, community buildings under the initiative. Farmers would be given machinery and employment opportunities were going to be created for the unemployed. Training is going to be provided to women in tailoring and other handcrafts. BJP leader Dr P Harish Rao requested the public to extend their cooperation to implement the Make in India scheme. He thanked Bapu Rao for striving in the Centre releasing the funds of Rs 22 crore for laying a black top road from Thalodi village in Koutala mandal to Salugupalli of Bejjur mandal, via Chintalamanepalli mandal centre.
Earlier, activists of the party accorded a grand welcome to Bapu Rao on his visit to the constituency. BJP party’s Sirpur (T) in-charge Dr Kothapalli Srinivas, Make in India director Dr Sudhakar, Chintalamanepalli mandal BJP president Dhoni Srisailam , many leaders and activists of the party were present.
