Adilabad touches 44.5 degrees heatwave tightens grip on Telangana
Telangana continues to experience intense summer conditions with Adilabad recording the highest temperature of 44.5 degrees Celsius. While northern districts are facing extreme heat, high humidity levels across central and southern regions are adding to public discomfort.

Hyderabad: The intense summer heat continues to batter Telangana, with mercury crossing the critical 44 degrees Celsius mark in the state’s northern pockets.
According to official data released by the India Meteorological Department, Hyderabad, in the last 24 hours till 8.30 am on Tuesday, Adilabad recorded the state’s highest maximum temperature of 44.5 degrees Celsius, which is 1.8 degrees Celsius above normal.
The IMD, Hyderabad weather data highlights a stark regional divide, with extreme heat in northern districts and heavily humid, oppressive conditions in the central and southern regions.
After Adilabad, Nizamabad trailed closely with 44.2 degrees Celsius, while Medak and Nalgonda clocked peak temperatures of 42.2 and 41.5 degrees Celsius respectively.
Even areas experiencing slightly lower temperatures are facing immense discomfort due to soaring morning relative humidity levels, which peaked at an intense 86 per cent in Hanmakonda and 75 per cent in Bhadrachalam.
Within the Greater Hyderabad region, the Rajendranagar region recorded the highest at 40 degrees Celsius, followed by Begumpet (39.9), while other peripheral stations like Hakimpet, Patancheru, and Hayath Nagar hovered uncomfortably close to the 40 degrees Celsius threshold.
