Agarwal Samaj Telangana holds blood donation camp for thalassemia patients

The camp at Suraj Bhawan in Ghasi Bazaar Market was aimed at providing vital support to individuals suffering from the condition

Hyderabad: Agarwal Samaj Telangana, in collaboration with The Hyderabad Cutpiece Cloth Merchant Association and Wholesale Art Silk Cloth Merchant Association, organised a blood donation camp at Suraj Bhawan in Ghasi Bazaar Market.

The camp was aimed at providing vital support to individuals suffering from thalassemia and 314 units of blood were collected, which will be donated to the Thalassemia and Sickle Cell Society.

Manish Agarwal, president of Agarwal Samaj, thanked the donors and encouraged more people to donate blood at Sunday’s camp. He emphasised the importance of pre-marriage HbA2 blood tests to help prevent thalassemia in future generations.
