Hyderabad will host the Asian Thalassemia Conclave (ATC) on January 10–11, bringing together medical experts, policymakers, NGOs and patient groups from across Asia to deliberate on strategies to combat thalassemia, a preventable genetic blood disorder.
A total of 632 volunteers and members of the Insaniyat Foundation turned-up and donated blood for the cause. The units of blood collected through the camp will be exclusively available for children with Thalassemia, who are supported by Thalassemia and Sickle Cell Society (TSCS) and end-stage cancer patients.
