Hyderabad: Asian Institute of Gastroenterology (AIG) Hospitals conducted a special three-day academic conference on Hospital Infection Control (HIC), which featured over 400 delegates from across India, who were addressed by in-house as well as external infection control experts covering a wide range of topics including workshops from the Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD) of the hospital, a press release said.
The conference was organized to share the knowledge and expertise in creating safe hospital practices with the relevant hospital staff which includes doctors, nurses, and admin people. Over the three-day conference, experts will cover a wide range of topics including workshops from the Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD) of AIG Hospitals.
“HIC have become one of the most challenging aspects of healthcare not only in India but in well developed nations like the US and the UK. It is of utmost importance that all stakeholders of the hospital ecosystem are trained on all aspects of infection control to prevent such incidences and offer patients a safe environment to recover,” said Dr. D Nageshwar Reddy, Chairman, AIG Hospitals, said.
Dr. GV Rao, Director, AIG Hospitals said that the conference intended to give the delegates practical tips and showcase techniques on HIC.
