Hyderabad: On the occasion of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, AIG Hospitals has launched ‘The Pink Question’, an initiative designed to create a safe, anonymous space for people to ask questions about breast health that they may otherwise hesitate to voice.
Recognising that factors such as embarrassment, social stigma, fear of judgement or uncertainty can prevent people from seeking reliable medical guidance, the initiative offers an anonymous question box at the hospital and an online submission form throughout October.
People can raise concerns about breast changes, symptoms, screening, diagnosis, treatment and recovery without revealing their identities. By focusing on the question rather than the identity of the person asking it, the campaign encourages a more open and informed approach to breast health.
Questions submitted through the campaign will be addressed by doctors through videos and digital educational content, providing reliable answers to concerns that are often left unspoken.
Dr Pragnya Chigurupati, Breast Oncoplastic Surgeon at AIG Hospitals, said, “Through this initiative, we want to remove the hesitation around these conversations and ensure that people feel comfortable voicing their concerns and receive reliable medical guidance, turning every question into an opportunity for awareness, understanding and timely care.”
People can submit their questions through the online form at https://forms.cloud.microsoft/r/8hSceyYVkU or by visiting AIG Hospitals in Gachibowli.
