Hyderabad: AIMIM MLA Ahmed Bin Abdullah Balala on Monday expressed strong dissatisfaction in the Assembly over the non-release of Constituency Development Funds (CDF) to non-Congress members for the past two years.

He said not a single rupee had been disbursed under the CDF scheme, while funds were selectively released under Special Development Funds (SDF) to the Congress legislators. He said only 74 MLAs received allocations so far.

Questioning the criteria, he alleged that Congress legislators and even defected MLAs were being favoured, while others were excluded. “CDFs are a right of every elected representative. Why are they not being released?” he asked. He added that even MPs had not received funds during this period.
