Warangal Urban: A man allegedly killed his wife by slitting her throat at Railway quarters at Kazipet near here on Wednesday. The deceased was identified as Mekala Rama (25).
It is alleged that the accused Srinivas attacked her with a kitchen knife while she was sweeping the house in the evening and fled from the scene after the incident. The couple has two sons. Srinivas, who has no job, has been allegedly harassing Rama for quite some time for money. He was allegedly an alcoholic and committed the offence in an inebriated condition.
Kazipet police rushed to the spot and collected evidences and clues. The body has been shifted to MGM hospital for postmortem.
