Align Technology to set up Rs 1,800 crore facility in Hyderabad

Align Technology, a global medical device company, will invest Rs 1,800 crore to set up its first manufacturing facility in India at Hyderabad. The project, expected to generate over 300 jobs, was formalised through an MoU signed with Telangana Life Sciences.

Hyderabad: Align Technology, a medical device company that designs, manufactures, and sells clear aligners, intraoral scanners and services, and CAD/CAM software for digital orthodontics, is planning a new manufacturing facility in Hyderabad.

The proposed investment of nearly Rs 1,800 crore would mark the company’s first manufacturing site in India, and its fourth globally. The project is expected to create more than 300 direct jobs over the next several years. The MoU was signed by Jitse Marree, Senior Vice President, on behalf of Align Technology and Sarvesh Singh, CEO, Telangana Life Sciences.


Senior leadership from Align Technology also met Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu and discussed the company’s plans to establish its proposed manufacturing facility in the city.
