Apollo Hospitals launches Foot and Ankle Centre in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad, on Friday announced the launch of the Centre for Foot and Ankle Care, which will provide orthopaedic care, and specialised services for a variety of foot and ankle conditions, including diabetic foot management.

The facility will have experts from multiple medical departments — orthopaedic surgery, podiatric surgery, vascular surgery, orthotics and physiotherapy — offering a holistic approach to treatment, according to a press release.

The facility is equipped with cutting-edge technology, including robotic surgery, advanced arthroscopy systems and custom-made devices for diabetic foot reconstruction.

Services range from trauma care and sports injury management to specialised procedures such as charcot foot reconstruction etc, Dr Srinivas Seshabhattaru, podiatric surgeon, Apollo Hospitals, said.

Dr Venu Kavarthapu, foot and ankle surgeon, King’s College Hospital, London; Dr Varun Kommalapati, foot and ankle surgeon; Dr Ravindra Babu, director of medical services, Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad; V Tejesvi Rao, CEO, Apollo Hospitals, Telangana region; and others participated.
