Arrangements in full swing for Sri Rama Navami celebrations at Bhadradri Temple
Elaborate arrangements are underway for Sri Rama Navami celebrations at Bhadrachalam temple, with lakhs of talambralu packets and laddus being prepared. Authorities have ensured security, traffic management and facilities for devotees attending the celestial wedding and related rituals.

Kothagudem: Arrangements are in full swing for Sri Rama Navami celebrations at Sri Seetha Ramachandra Swamy Devasthanam at Bhadrachalam in Kothagudem district.
Sri Rama Navami, the celestial wedding of Lord Rama and Goddess Seetha Devi, would be celebrated on March 27, followed by Sri Rama Pattabhishekam on March 28 as part of Bhadradri Temple Brahmotsavams.
The rituals such as preparing ‘talambralu’ (akshintalu) have already started on ‘Holi Pournami’. Talambralu using rice mixed with turmeric, kumkum, ghee, bukka, gulal, attar and other aromatic substances are being prepared.
The temple executive officer (EO) K Damodar Rao informed that nearly 300 quintals of rice would be used this year for preparing the talambralu. As many as two lakh packets of talambralu and one lakh laddus are being prepared for distribution to devotees on Sri Rama Navami, he said.
Arrangements at Mithila Stadium, where the celestial wedding takes place, have been completed along with the temple premises. Special counters have been set up at the temple and other places in the town for the distribution of talambralu and laddu prasadam, he said.
District Collector Ankit, Superintendent of Police B Rohith Raju, along with Bhadrachalam ASP Vikrant Kumar Singh, Sub-Collector Mrunal Shreshta and the temple EO Damodar Rao, held several rounds of meetings to review the arrangements for the celebrations.
The Endowments Department Principal Secretary Shailaja Ramaiyer, in a video conference with the district officials on Monday, directed them to make arrangements for the launching of temple development works by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on March 27.

to help devotees easily locate and reach parking lots, Kalyana Mandapam, designated sectors and counters for laddus and talambralu.
Security arrangements with nearly 2,000 police personnel are being put in place to ensure smooth conduct of the celebrations. Traffic restrictions would be imposed during these two days to ensure smooth flow of traffic for the devotees, he noted.
Meanwhile, Sri Ramakoti Bhakta Samajam of Gajwel in Siddipet district handed over 300 kilograms of ‘Goti Talambralu’ to EO Damodar Rao. The organisation’s founder president Ramakoti Ramaraju, along with a group of devotees, brought the talambralu to the temple.
