Karimnagar: Derogatory comments allegedly made by BRS leader Rasamayi Balakishan against Manakondur MLA Dr Kavvampally Satyanarayana triggered a controversy in the constituency. An audio allegedly recorded by Balakishan went viral on social media platforms on Thursday.
Enraged over the audio, Congress party activists attacked Balakishan’s farm house in Bejjanki mandal of Siddipet district on Friday. His effigies were also burnt at different places of Manakondur constituency as well as in Karimnagar town.
On the other hand, BRS activists burnt the effigy of Kavvampally Satyanarayana in Manakondur. Reacting to the incident, Balakishan, currently in the US, said though he had not used any abusive words in the audio, the MLA had released an edited audio by adding abusive words. He dared Satyanarayana to release the original audio.
Though the audio was made 20 days ago, where was the need to release it now and circulate it on social media, Balakishan questioned, and said it was only a ploy to get sympathy.
