Mancherial: Government Whip Balka Suman assured all support to the kin of Boragandla Soundarya, who was hacked to death by her father-in-law on Tuesday. He consoled the parents of the recently married woman at Lingannapet village in Kotapalli mandal on Wednesday.
Suman visited the victim’s residence inquired about the tragic incident. He extended financial aid of Rs 1 lakh to the kin as immediate relief. He promised to extend all support to the family members of the 19-year-old. He spoke to District Collector Bharati Hollikeri and Commissioner of Police S Chandrasekhar Reddy and requested them to ensure justice to the family.
Soundarya was murdered by Rallabandi Tirupati when she and her father were in their house, holding her responsible for his son Sai Krishna’s suicide two months ago. Her father Lasmaiah sustained minor injuries when he tried to stop Tirupati. Soundarya and Sai Krishna have married five months ago. Sai Krishna ended his life by hanging allegedly due to family disputes.
Meanwhile, Kotapalli Sub-Inspector Ravi Kumar said that a case was registered against Tirupathi under sections 302 of the Indian Penal Code and SC, ST Prevention of Atrocities Act, based on a complaint received from Lasmaiah. Investigations were taken up.
