Mancherial: Government Whip Balka Suman handed over Kalyana Lakshmi cheques to over 400 beneficiaries and distributed Christmas gifts to Christians in Chennur on Tuesday.
Addressing a gathering, Suman opined that the first of its kind scheme, Kalyana Lakshmi, was bringing respite to the families of economically challenged. The government whip read out welfare schemes being implemented by the government for bringing smiles on the faces of the weaker sections and the poor. He cited Rythu Bandhu, KCR Kits, Rythu Bima, and many other schemes. He added that the government was providing saris to women during Bathukamma festival and gifts to Christians and Muslims at the time of their festivals.
