Bandh for BC quota going on peacefully in Khammam, Warangal
The BC Bandh demanding 42 percent reservations disrupted normal life in Khammam and Warangal, shutting shops and public transport. Political leaders staged protests and dharnas, while ongoing Kakatiya University exams, including LLB, B Tech, and M Tech, were postponed due to the bandh.

Khammam/Warangal: Bandh called by BC JAC on Saturday demanding 42 percent reservations to Backward Classes hit normal life hardly as all the business establishments and public transport remained shut in erstwhile Khammam and Warangal districts.
TGRTC buses were confined to depots, a holiday was declared for both government and private schools in view of bandh. All the main thoroughfares looked deserted due to lack of vehicular movement. All kinds of shops, including eateries, were closed voluntarily across both the districts.

In Kothagudem, Left parties and BRS cadres staged protests at the bus stand in support of the bandh. Similarly a dharna was staged at Bhadrachalam by BC associations, CPM, CPI,BRS, CPI (ML) New Democracy and other parties demanding the Centre to approve the BC bill.
In Khammam BRS leader Gundala Krishna, Congress leader Rayala Nageswara Rao, CPI (M) leader Nunna Nageswara Rao and BC leaders staged a dharna at RTC depot. Speaking to the media they accused the BJP of acting with double standards with regard to BC reservations.
In Warangal, bandh is going on peacefully. Even as leaders of political parties have not come onto the roads in support of bandh, shop owners downed the shutters voluntarily extending support to bandh. Public transport was totally hit.
The bandh impacted ongoing exams being conducted by Kakatiya University. The university controller of examinations Prof. Rajender informed that the ongoing LLB, B Tech, M Sc, M Tech and CLIS exams scheduled to be held on Saturday have been postponed. Rescheduled dates of exams would be announced later, he said.
