Bandi Sai Bageerath nabbed during Naka Bandi: Cyberabad police

Controversy over arrest of Bandi Sai Bageerath contineud with Cyberabad police claiming he was arrested at Manchirevula in Narsingi, while his advocate claimed he was handed over to police

Hyderabad: The Cyberabad police maintained that Bandi Sai Bageerath was taken into custody during ‘naka bandi’ at  Manchirevula, Narsingi and arrested.

In a press release, Commissioner of Police Cyberabad, stated that based on reliable information, the SOT team of cyberabad apprehended the accused Bageerath, near Tech Park, Manchirevula under Narsingi police station limits, of Cyberabad and took him into custody at 8.15 pm, on May 16, and shifted to Petbasheerabad police station.

The press release further stated that, the accused was produced before the investigation officer who examined him in the presence of panch witnesses in the police station. “The accused admitted to have committed the said offence. Hence the IO arrested him. After completion of medical examination , the accused Bageerath was produced before the magistrate who remanded him to judicial custody,” the police added.

However, an advocate Karuna Sagar claimed that Bandi Sai Bageerath was handed over to the police at Narsingi.
