Karimnagar: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Wednesday urged people to hand over the Karimnagar Municipal Corporation mayor’s seat to the BJP if Central funds are to continue to flow to the town.
Former 51st division corporator Bandari Venu, former sarpanch of Vallampahad Sadineni Munindar and others joined the BJP in the presence of the Union Minister.
Welcoming them into the party, Sanjay Kumar called upon the people to ensure the election of BJP candidates in a majority of divisions so that there would be greater scope for the development of the town.
He alleged that not a single rupee has been spent on the development of Karimnagar town during the last two years of the Congress regime. He further claimed that there is a risk of development being hindered if votes are cast in favour of the BRS, which was not in power.
