Inter-state gang from West Bengal committing robberies in broad daylight nabbed in Hanamkonda
Hanamkonda police arrested three members of an inter-state gang from West Bengal involved in daylight robberies across multiple states. The gang, addicted to narcotics, targeted houses in Karimnagar and Hanamkonda, stealing gold, silver and cash.

Hanamkonda: The CCS and KUC police have arrested an inter-state gang of thieves from West Bengal who committed robberies in broad daylight.
An official release here on Wednesday said that the accused, Feroz Sheikh, Suk Chand and Yameen were all residents of Mujpara village, Beldanga taluka (block), Murshidabad district in West Bengal. Feroz Sheikh of the same area, remains absconding.
The accused, addicted to alcohol, heroin, and other narcotics, resorted to breaking into houses in broad daylight to steal gold and silver ornaments, sell them and use the proceeds to fund their indulgences.
They committed thefts in West Bengal, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, and Maharashtra; arrested and imprisoned by the police. Two months ago, they were arrested by the Mujpara police and spent two months in jail. After their release, they formed a gang to commit robberies in Telangana.
They came to Hanamkonda and on December 17, 2025, broke into two houses in Parimala Colony and Sapthagiri Colony within the KUC PS area of Hanamkonda, and stole gold, silver ornaments and cash. Towards the end of December attempted robberies, but finding no opportunity, left the area.
Later, they returned to Hanamkonda on January 10, 2026; they broke into a house in the afternoon at Gopalapuram and Shiva Sai Colony and stole approximately 15 tolas of gold, five tolas of silver jewellery along with cash.
Following orders of CP, Sunpreet Singh under the supervision of DCP Central Zone Dara Kavitha special teams were formed. Using technical assistance, they gathered details of the criminals and were searching for their whereabouts. During this time, they received reliable information that the accused had returned to the KUC Junction area to commit more thefts.
Acting on this information, KUC and CCS police jointly conducted vehicle checks at the KUC Junction. When the accused saw the police, they tried to escape, but the police apprehended them. Upon questioning, they confessed to the thefts. Approximately 15 tolas of gold jewellery, five tolas of silver jewellery and two mobile phones belonging to the accused were recovered.
