‘Bhupalpally, Mulugu have potential to export chilli produce’
Deputy Director-General of Foreign Trade, Hrushikesh Reddy directed the officials of various departments to prepare plans to increase exports by conducting awareness among farmers and fishermen

Mulugu: Deputy Director-General of Foreign Trade, (DGFT), Hyderabad, Hrushikesh Reddy said that both Jayashankar Bhupalpally and Mulugu districts have been identified as potential areas for export of chilli produce considering the vast cultivation of chilli in these districts.
Hrushikesh Reddy was speaking at the District Level Export Promotion Committee (DLEPC) meeting held under the chairmanship of District Collector of Mulugu and in-charge of Bhupalpally district S Krishna Aditya here on Monday.
Urging the officials to study the feasibility of exporting different products, Krishna Aditya said Prime Minister Narendra Modi was keen on tapping export potential. He also enquired with the officials about the products being exported from the district and discussed plans to increase export of additional products.
He also directed the officials of agriculture, horticulture, and fisheries departments to prepare plans to increase exports by conducting awareness among farmers and fishermen. Krishna Aditya asked the officials to encourage Self Help Groups (SHGs) to make products that can be exported.
