Hyderabad: The Nizamabad district police booked a case against three leaders of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) for allegedly sexually harassing a woman.
The case was booked against the BJYM leaders Patel Prasad, Pittla Swamy and P Satyanarayana under Sections 506 (Punish for criminal intimidation) and 509(word, gesture or an act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) of India Penal Code (IPC) based on a complaint lodged by the woman, said Four Town Sub Inspector Sandeep.
The woman, who was representing a religious organization, informed the police that she was facing threat from the three leaders and requested the police protect her and her family members from them. She said that the leaders also came to her residence to attack the family members.
