Hyderabad: Rachakonda Police Commmissioner, Mahesh Muralidhar Bhagwat on Tuesday inaugurated a Covid booster dose vaccination camp for police personnel at Rachakonda Commissionerate premises at Neredmet.

Later, interacting with the media persons he said vaccination reduces the risk of hospitalisation and asked people who were yet to get vaccinated, to register themselves and take the vaccination.

Bhagwat said Rachakonda police is taking up initiatives to protect the staff from the Covid-19 and reminded that all the police personnel who tested positive for Covid during the first and second wave recovered successfully.

He said a dedicated Covid Control Room is set up at Rachakonda Commissionerate which is working round-the-clock and providing services to the citizens besides police personnel.

Bhagwat also urged the people not to stop taking precautions and remain on high alert and follow all protocols. He reiterated that the best possible preventive measure is following SMS (Sanitizer, Mask and Social Distancing) and advised the citizens to be cautious about new Covid variant Omicron.
