Hyderabad: Sri Brahmostavam, the third anniversary celebrations of Hare Krishna Golden Temple, was held on Monday. With lockdown in force, the celebrations were performed internally without any public presence.
As part of these celebrations, elaborate and traditional vedic rituals including grand Sri Lakshmi Narashimha Swamy Abhishekam and Homam were performed in the morning.
Later, Sri Lakshmi Narashimha Swamy Kalyanotsavam was performed amid sankeerthans. The evening celebrations concluded with a Maha Abhishekam to Sri Radha Govinda, Sri Nitai Gauranga and Srila Prabhupada and also to all the presiding dieties of Sri Panchajanyeshwara, Sri Garuda and Sri Japa Anjaneya, followed by a Maha Mangala Arathi and Maha Samprokshana.
The festivities were broadcasted live through Hare Krishna Golden Temple Youtube Channel.
“Brahmostavam is the prominent celebration in most of the ancient temple traditions of India. As per Bhavishya Puranam, Lord Brahma conducted the first celebrations of this kind to Lord Venkateswara Swamy,” said Satya Gaura Chandra Dasa, president of Hare Krishna Movement, Hyderabad.
