Sri Radhastami celebrated at Hare Krishna Golden Temple in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Sri Radhastami was celebrated at the Hare Krishna Golden Temple in Banjara Hills on Saturday. On the occasion of the divine appearance of Lord Sri Krishna’s eternal consort, Srimati Radha Rani, scores of devotees from across the city visited the temple and sought the blessings of Their Lordships.
The deities of Sri Radha Govinda were adorned in splendid Nava-vasthras and exquisite jewellery, offering devotees a special darshan. The evening was marked by the auspicious “108 Kalasha Sri Radha Govinda Abhishekam”, performed by dedicated pujaris amid the recitation of Vedic mantras and the soul-stirring melodies of Harinama Sankirtana.
Their Lordships Sri Radha Govinda were offered Panchamrita, Panchagavya, a variety of fruit juices, rare herbal powders, select varieties of flowers and special Aushadhis. A sumptuous Chappan Bhog was offered, followed by a Raja Bhoga Arathi.
In a special pravachan, His Grace Sri Satya Gaura Chandra Dasa Prabhuji, president of the Hare Krishna Movement, Hyderabad, emphasised the significance of Radhashtami, which falls on the eighth day of the bright fortnight in the month of Bhadrapada.
