BRS corporators stage protest at Karimnagar Municipal Corporation

As the term of the council concluded on Tuesday, the concluding meeting of council was conducted on Tuesday. On the occasion, the corporators were to be felicitated.

Karimnagar: BRS corporators staged protest demonstration outside Karimnagar Municipal Corportion office for not allowing husbands of women corporators inside the council meeting.

As the term of the council concluded on Tuesday, the concluding meeting of council was conducted on Tuesday. On the occasion, the corporators were to be felicitated.

When the women corporators along with their husbands tried to enter the meeting hall, the police prevented their soouses. Enraged over the police attitude, the BRS corporators staged a protest outside the meeting hall. They raised slogans against Mayor Y Sunil Rao.

They demanded the commissioner to come out and give an explanation. The issue calmed down after the spouses were allowed inside.
