Hyderabad: BRS MLC Dasoju Sravan lashed out at the Congress government over the secrecy and half-truths surrounding the BC reservation bills and the Telangana caste survey data. He demanded clarity and transparency from the government regarding the status of the pending bills with the President and the pending ordinance with the Governor.

In an open letter to Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, Sravan questioned why the SEEEPC Survey, Busani Commission Report and Justice Sudarshan Reddy Report remain under wraps despite Rs 160 crore being spent and one lakh employees being mobilised. He said that even legislators had not been given access to the reports.

“Where are the bills sent to the President and the ordinance sent to the Governor? What clarifications were sought, and why are they kept in secrecy?” he asked, urging the government to convene the Assembly session and table all reports.

He also demanded that the government publish a White Paper and lead an all-party delegation to Delhi to push for the inclusion of 42 per cent BC reservations in Telangana in the Ninth Schedule of the Constitution.

Sravan accused Revanth Reddy of prioritising political optics in Delhi over BC welfare in Telangana. “Stop misleading the nation with secrecy in the name of a Telangana model,” he said, warning that further delays would trample on BC rights and trigger backlash.
