Kothagudem: BRS State secretary, erstwhile Khammam district membership enrollment in-charge, MLC Takkallapalli Ravinder Rao informed that a booth coordinator Md. Akbar alias Gandhi was suspended from the party.
Akbar, the booth coordinator for the 72nd booth (SIL Campus) in Kothagudem constituency, was found responsible for the ruckus created during the Kothagudem constituency BRS cadres meeting on Thursday.
He was accused of damaging the chairs and protesting against the party leaders when the party in-charge Ravinder Rao made some suggestions to Vanama Raghavendar Rao, the son of ex-Minister Vanama Venkateswara Rao, regarding his functioning style in the party at the meeting.
The party high command viewed the incident seriously and decided to suspend Akbar to prevent such actions from recurring in the future. The party would not tolerate anyone regardless of their rank if they violated party discipline or engaged in actions that tarnish the party’s reputation, Ravinder Rao added.
