BRS worker dies by suicide over harassment by Congress leader Baba Fasiuddin

Hyderabad: A BRS worker died by suicide allegedly due to the harassment of former Deputy Mayor and Congress leader Baba Fasiuddin who demanded money for allowing building construction activity.
Mohd Sardar, (50) a resident of Borabanda stayed with his family. A few months ago, he had constructed a house and it was demolished by the GHMC for certain violations.
On Wednesday night, Sardar went to the terrace of a building and jumped from there on the ground. He sustained injuries and died on the spot.
YVS Sudheendra, Task Force, DCP said Sardar had climbed on to the building and jumped from there. “The family members have raised certain allegations. Based on the complaint, we will register a case and take up investigation,” said the official.
The family members of Sardar told the police that Baba Fasiuddin was regularly harassing the victim following which he slipped into depression and committed suicide.
They further alleged that for a few months Baba Fasiuddin was regularly harassing Sardar on some or the other pretext.
