Hyderabad: The orthopedic and robotic surgeons at Care Hospitals, Hitec City, announced completion of 250 robotic-assisted knee and hip replacement surgeries using Mako Robotic-Assisted System.
Doctors in a statement said the Mako Robotic-Assisted System enables CT-based, patient-specific surgical planning and provides real-time robotic guidance during surgery, allowing them to achieve better accuracy in implant positioning while preserving healthy bone and surrounding soft tissues.
Dr G Ashok Raju, Clinical Director (Orthopaedics), Care Hospitals, Hitec City, said, “By personalising each procedure to the patient’s anatomy, we are able to combine surgical expertise with technology-driven precision, achieve predictable outcomes, reduce variability, and support faster functional recovery.” Dr Sharath Babu and Dr Vasudeva Juvvasi, senior orthopaedic surgeons, said robotic assistance provides greater control during surgery, especially in complex cases.
