Guntur: A case was registered against Telugu Desam Party national general secretary Nara Lokesh in Old Guntur police station and 32 other TDP leaders on Monday when they called on the family of B.Tech student Ramya who was murdered in the city. Lokesh who was taken into custody during the visit, was later set free in the evening after serving notices.
Cases were also booked against TDP leaders Prattipati Pullarao, Alapati Raja, Nakka Anandbabu, Dhulipalla Narendra, Tenali Sravan Kumar, Anita and others for raising slogans against the government, obstructing traffic, unauthorised assembly, obstructing police from discharge of duties and disrupting law and order.
Cases were registered against Anandbabu, Narendra and ten others by Kothapeta police station personnel also for violating Covid norms.
