Centre neglected Hyderabad development: Harish

He said that the Union Minister of State for Home Affairs G Kishan Reddy said there was no possibility of Central funds for Hyderabad city's development while the BJP State President Bandi Sanjay is promising to get funds from the Centre for the city.

Patancheru: Finance Minister T Harish Rao on Tuesday said that TRS candidates in three GHMC divisions under Patancheru Assembly Constituency will win the elections without much competition.

Stating that the none of the Opposition parties were in a position to offer put up a contest against TRS candidates in these three divisions, the Minister said the BJP government at the Centre did not release even a single paise of relief fund to Hyderabad though the city witnessed one of the worst rains in its history. “The same BJP government released Rs 600 and Rs 500 crores to Bangalore and Gujarat respectively immediately after they faced similar problem,” Harish Rao said, adding that the Centre ignored repeated pleas of the Telangana government in this regard.


He said that the Union Minister of State for Home Affairs G Kishan Reddy said there was no possibility of Central funds for Hyderabad city’s development while the BJP State President Bandi Sanjay is promising to get funds from the Centre for the city.

The Minister participated in a massive bike rally taken out in Bharathi Nagar, Patancheru and Ramachandrapuram divisions of GHMC that falls under Sangareddy district on Tuesday morning. The rally got a huge response with large number of people joining the rally.

After a three hour long rally across three divisions, the Minister addressed an election meeting at GMR Gardens at Patancheru.

Highlighting the ignorance of BJP government in granting projects and funds to Telangana, Rao has said the Centre has done a great injustice to the unemployed youth of Telangana by cancelling the ITIR (Information Technology Investment Region) project, which would have created employment for thousands directly and indirectly.

Saying that the economy has slowed down considerably under the BJP rule, he has said that the Centre is on disinvestment spree of PSUs in the country. The Senior TRS leader has accused the Centre of privatising the public sector companies.

Stating that the BJP came into power assuring to seize all the black money and deposit the same in poor people’s accounts, Rao has said that they could not find even a single rupee of black money even after demonetisation of currency notes. He has further accused the BJP social media wing of propagating false information on social networking sites.

The Minister has elaborated how the Telangana government has put efforts to bring industries such as IT Park, Osman Nagar, Medical Devices Park, Sultanpur and LED Park, Shiva Nagar in Patancheru Constituency besides supplying the round clock quality power to industries.

Talking about the TRS’s GHMC election manifesto, Rao has said that the Chief Minister, K Chandrashekar Rao has come up with programmes to address the issues pertaining to all the sections of people living in the State capital.

The Minister has appealed to the voters of Bharathi Nagar, Patancheru and Ramachandrapuram to elect their candidates Sindhu Adharsh Reddy, Mettu Kumar Yadav and Pushpa Nagesh Yadav with a bumper majority.  MP Medak Kotha Prabhakar Reddy, MLAs, Gudem Mahipal Reddy, Chanti Kranthi Kiran and others were present.
