Siddipet: The Community Health Centre (CHC) in Husnabad town will get a host of facilities such as a new 30- bed building, Intensive Care Unit, Dialysis Centre and many others.
Health Minister T Harish Rao had held a review meeting at the hospital on Tuesday and directed the department officials to provide these facilities for the benefit of people living in and around Husnabad. Earlier, the Minister had upgraded the hospital from Primary Health Centre to CHC last September. As part of that, the hospital will get a 30-bed new building besides renovating the existing building. The hospital will be equipped with a 10-bed ICU and 5-bed dialysis centre.
The mortuary will be upgraded by spending Rs 28.4 lakhs. The operation theatre in the hospital will be reopened within a week by providing all the necessary facilities. With an objective to keep the CHC with the round-the-clock electricity supply, the Minister has directed them to install a new generator at the hospital besides setting up an Oxygen Plant, which will be handed over 20 Oxygen Cylinders.
The hospital will also get a digital X-ray mission and a mobile X-ray mission. In addition to existing one gynecologist, another gynecologist will be appointed besides recruiting a general physician, a radiologist, and an X-ray technician. Since the hospital was upgraded from PHC to CHC, the officials said that the required staff, drugs and surgical grant will be released besides clearing the electricity bill arrears. The CHC will be up equipped with a Siyam Machine at the Orthopedic department. The engineers from Telangana State Medical and Health Services Infrastructure Development Corporation have paid a visit to prepare the proposal.
Speaking to Telangana Today, Superintendent at CHC Husnabad, Dr B Ramesh Reddy said that the Health Minister has directed them to develop the hospital as a model CHC and assured to provide all the infrastructure facilities and staff.
