Cheques distributed to women at Nava Women Empowerment Centre

Cheques worth Rs 87,641 were distributed to women artisans at the Nava Women Empowerment Centre in Paloncha, Kothagudem district. The amount was earned through the sale of palm leaf artworks under Nava Limited’s CSR initiative

Kothagudem: Cheques were handed over to women artisans at the Nava Women Empowerment Centre at Paloncha in the district on Thursday.

Nava Group vice president and company secretary VSN Raju and chief financial officer B Srinivasa Rao handed over cheques worth Rs 87,641 to the women who earned the money through the sale of palm leaf artworks. The Women Empowerment Centre was established as part of the corporate social responsibility initiatives of Nava Limited.


Speaking on the occasion, the guests said that if women were financially empowered, families and society would develop, adding that if women were ahead in all fields, families would always be happy. Trainer Amuda and students participated in the programme.
