Hyderabad: Chillapalli – The Vintage Weavers opened its store in the city at Road No.10, Banjara Hills here on Friday. Mayor Gadwal Vijayalaxmi and Executive Director – Granules India, Uma Chigurupati were present for the inaugural function.

Chillapalli is a household name in Andhra Pradesh for the last five decades offering the purest form of handwoven silk sarees and fancy sarees. Founded in 1971 by Chillapalli Nageswar Rao who used to hand weave 7 ½-yard sarees for weddings and special occasions, the skill was passed on to his son who opened three silk showrooms in Vijayawada.

The tradition is now extended to Hyderabad with the store offering the finest weaves in silk, cotton, organza and more at lowest possible prices.
