Hyderabad: Bhukya Yashwanth, a young mountaineer from Telangana, has successfully scaled Assam’s highest peak, Mt Tumjang, also known as Sielkal Peak, standing at 6,102 feet. This marks his fifth expedition under the ongoing Mission Har Shikhar Par Tiranga, and is part of his Seven Sisters Expedition.
Previously, Yashwanth had completed climbs of the highest peaks in Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura, making Assam his fifth successful state climb.
The final stretch of the Assam climb was steep and slippery, demanding great endurance and focus. The journey was made even more memorable by the warmth and hospitality of the people of Assam, whose encouragement brought immense joy and inspiration.
At the summit, Yashwanth proudly unfurled the Tiranga (National Flag) and presented a photograph of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, paying tribute to the legendary leader. He also delivered a powerful and heartfelt message to the youth:
“To all young people: Believe in yourself, chase your dreams with courage, and never let obstacles stop you. Every mountain may seem high, but no summit is impossible when your heart is strong and your purpose is pure. Choose health, passion, and positivity, and let your actions raise our Tiranga with pride,” the City mountaineer’s message read.
With two more peaks remaining in the Seven Sisters Expedition, Yashwanth remains committed to completing Mission Har Shikhar Par Tiranga, carrying forward the spirit of patriotism, resilience, and social responsibility.
