Class V girl injured in monkey attack at primary school in Rajanna-Sircilla
A Class V student was injured in a monkey attack at Bavusaipet Primary School, Konaraopet mandal. With monkeys camping on the premises for months, students, teachers, and anganwadi visitors face daily troubles. Villagers urged officials to intervene immediately.
Rajanna Sircilla: A Class V student Sheik Reshma was injured in an attack by a troop of monkeys in Bavusaipet of Konaraopet mandal on Friday.
A troop of monkeys attacked the students of Bavusaipet primary school. Reshma sustained injuries on her right hand. School staff shifted her to hospital for treatment.
Students as well as mid-day meal staff were facing troubles as the monkeys were camping on the school premises during the last few months.
It has become difficult to continue classes as the monkeys were always roaming on the school premises. The problem was severe during lunch time. So, parents were scared to send their wards to school, headmaster Sridhar said.
There is an anganwadi center in school premises. Pregnant women and children would frequently visit the center. They were also facing troubles with monkeys. So, the villagers wanted the administration to take steps to solve monkeys’ problems.
